TrekToday - Official 'Anomaly' Details Released
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to DisneyLand, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said, "DisneyLand burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real DisneyLand, but it was getting pretty late. - Jack Handey

Good Morning all, yes, I do write in this blog from time to time... OK busy weekend, I had two birthday parties to go to, one being my daughters... which this year was a quick put together... I went to get addresses of her friends from the school she attends, but the normal secretary was on vacation, and the temp couldn't help... so I told her in September when she goes back to school, she can have a big party with her friends. The party this weekend was just for family, originally planned for two parties for her, one at mom's, the other at grandma Latshaw's, I got too delayed at mom's that I decided to postpone grandma's till a later date. Well what did Kayla get... a puppy... yes you heard me, a puppy... from a man who never had a pet, don't like pets on principal... I got my daughter a puppy... since I have been spending so much time at work, I wanted Kayla to have something to play with and to give her responsiblity... and she really wanted one. Plus I know if Stacey were alive, we would have one, or two, and at least one cat... so on a side note..."I hope you see this Stac!!! I just got done cleaning up a huge mess in the kennel I just got, I didn't kill it when it was covered in sh*t... I really hope you see this... I am being compassionate." I got up this morning to walk the dog and all I saw was crap... all over his box... So today, I cleaned him, bathed him, and cleaned his pen... next time, Kayla wakes up and helps... she has to get the fun as well... Oh, other birthday party was Madi's, my neice, Dave and Cindy's daughter. It was very nice... planned and all around good. She had an awesome time. Ok, I am off to walk the dog again... Take care until tomorrow...

Well the experiment worked like a charm... all but two of the hotdogs cooked, and it was a real eye opener for the kids. Great day yesterday... now the fun begins trying to get them to write a conclusion to their experiment, and on the the back show how they would make their cooker better. Anyhow, I guess the weekend was too much for some, considering the lack of mail today... but then again we all can't be as perfect as I...hahaha... Maybe it was my own mail server's problem, maybe it was down, that might be the case... I only received 50 spams instead of the usual 100... Anyhow, finally some news on the first episode of Enterprise... "The Xindi", I guess it will have many species like Xindi-Reptilians, Xindi-Sloths, Xindi-Humanoids and Xindi-Aquatics, and soon even Xindi-Insectoids... and we are supposed to destroy them in the future??? Who knows... I just have this weird feeling in my gut that this coming season might not be all that I want... and that makes me sick. To find out more... click the following link...

THE STATE OF MEDICINE TODAY-----Issue 2, 10/26/02
Greetings and Salutations:
So what is the state of medicine today. Actually pretty good. In today’s society, we have a chance at living longer than people did just 100 years ago. Could it be antibiotics??? Everyone will be treated with antibiotics sometime in their lives and will live longer for it. Unfortunately, it is a double edged sword. Killing these bugs, just teaches them to be smarter. As antibiotic use increased over the past 30 years, complacency allowed these bugs to get a foothold and develop their own immunity, making them super bugs. So the cure in the end could be our downfall. As for today we live longer, but perhaps it is just long enough for us to see our population’s destruction. Super bugs are currently 5% of all disease we as humans get, but we created them. The state of medicine needs to realize, controlling a bacterium or virus is an illusion. No one can control nature, living in balance is our only hope. We are intelligent creatures which survived not because of medicine we developed, but because our cells adapted over 65 million years. We say we survive longer because we have made advances… yes, average male lived 42 years 100 years ago, now we live to be 76. But 5000 years ago, men lived to be hundreds of years old, according to the bible. Scientists say well it had to be the way they interpreted years old. I disagree. Prior to 5000 years ago, we had to work, and work hard, to stay alive. But as our brain grew, we learned short cuts and easier ways to do our chores. We learned from others as our populations grew, how to use stone, then wood, then fire, then iron, then gun powder… all to make our lives easier. Less work, more life to think more. Grow bigger brains, and perpetuate this idiocy. When we started to rebel against nature and control our lives, is when we started losing our age. We had to do this to grow, but now we need to return, before we accidentally create something we can’t stop and nature lets it and us go the way of the dodo bird. Now I am a scientist and Genetic manipulation has tons of advantages and I encourage research in that area… As long as it is tempered with the overall realization that we are on God’s plateau, and one missed step to damn us all. Way to medicine… keep up the good work, carefully!

So why did T3 Suck, let me count the ways…
Ending a movie where the fate of world has already been decided,
Having a mediocre plot where the terminator was sent to keep the woman alive, instead of John Conner
If they had hydrogen cell packs for power, why didn’t he use them in the last movie, or the first,
How could she control cars that can’t steer themselves, I believe gas and brakes can be computer controlled, but please steering!
We’ve seen older John Conner before, this guy does not look anything like him.
Why was the woman naked after the time transporter, now don’t get me wrong, I like her figure and it was definitely easy on the eyes, would have enjoyed more from the front but anyhow, she could make her own clothes,
I guess what really pissed me off was John Conner’s conclusion that it was him meeting up with the girl that would have set judgment day off, not the fact of the program itself. I hate movies or programs which end with the world in the middle of a crisis. Now there has to be another movie to finish this crap up, just as in Reloaded to Revolutions, there has to be a T4 machines requiem.
Stuff I did like, Tx anti-terminator, terminator, she was more believable then T1000, T1 very believable, Special effects out standing, and chase scene very good.
Hello all, I am sick as dog... so sick I am going to the doctor today so I don't get to see my kiddies today... yea!!! Sounds sad but they were just out there yesterday so I appreciate a break from them... later

Ok, So I didn't do my rant last week on Stigma, the rerun from last week... but I will probably do one from tonights rerun of The Communicator... Although I should have ranted about Stigma, cause I hate episodes "with a message." At least the Communicator was on my list of top 15 for this season. I guess they are saving the best for right before the new episodes come back in September... ahhh just 2 more months. Hey T3 comes out this weekend... Do I have any takers???
